shopping La Tour Blanche (6kms) - local village with a range of shops, including an 'Artisan Boulanger'
(baker), two boucheries (butchers), pharmacy, post office, small general store, a tabac/bar, hairdressers and the Chez
Fernand bar/restaurant and regular small weekly market. Bourdeilles (8.7kms) - Lisle (8kms) - small town. Supermarkets, shops, bank and cash machine, doctor and
super restaurant on the River Dronne called Moulin du Pont. Tocane Saint-Apre (11kms) -
Supermarket Verteillac (14kms) - charming small town. Excellent bakery,
large general store, bank and cash machine and delighful cafes. Brantome (18kms) - Known
as the Venice of the Dordogne, this town is truly delightful. An early evening visit is recommended. Riberac
(22kms) - Two supermarkets and a splendid Friday morning market. Perigueux
(28kms). The cultural and gastronomic capital of the Dordogne and is easily accessible.

The Dordogne is one of the gastronomic
centres of the world, famous for its foie gras, duck, truffles, mushrooms and seafood. There are many excellent, inexpensive
restaurants in the area that use traditional cooking recipes. The famous vineyards of Medoc

porcelain at excellent prices. Lunch at L'Hostellerie de Plaisance in St Emilion or if not on the way back at Port Sainte
